DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Mombasa – Salt Lick
Early morning pickup from your hotel in Mombasa
or Diani Beach. Drive to the beautiful Taita Hills
Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Kenya’s most exclusive
private wildlife sanctuaries.
Arrive at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge in time
for lunch. This magnificent lodge is built on stilts
over a series of natural waterholes — watch
elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife come to
drink right below your feet throughout the day.
After lunch, relax and enjoy the wildlife viewing
from the lodge before heading out for an afternoon
game drive through the sanctuary. Spot large
elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras and
various antelope species roaming freely.
Return to Salt Lick Lodge for dinner and overnight.
As night falls, the waterholes come alive — don’t
miss the spectacular night wildlife viewing right
from the comfort of your lodge.
Day 2: Salt Lick – Ziwani
Rise early for a morning game drive as the
sanctuary awakens at sunrise — the best time
for predator sightings. Return to the lodge for
a full breakfast.
After breakfast depart to Voyager Ziwani Camp
in the Tsavo West area — a luxury tented camp
set in a breathtaking wilderness location. Arrive
for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing in
your tent, listening to the sounds of the African
bush.
In the evening head out for a game drive —
followed by an exciting night game drive to spot
nocturnal wildlife including bush babies, porcupines,
genets and if lucky, hunting leopards and lions.
Dinner and overnight at Voyager Ziwani Camp.
Day 3: Ziwani – Mombasa/Diani
Wake up early for a final morning nature walk
in the sanctuary with your guide — a peaceful
and intimate way to experience the African bush
up close. Learn about the local flora, animal
tracks and bird species.
Return to camp for breakfast then begin the
drive back to Mombasa or Diani Beach, arriving
in the early afternoon — refreshed, recharged
and carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
